The Kul Kul Farm Pod is a small-scale bamboo structure developed by BambooU as part of their ongoing exploration of natural building systems and educational design.
The project investigates lightweight construction principles through a distinctive and playful roof geometry, giving the structure a strong and recognizable identity while maintaining material efficiency.
A layered roof system defines the spatial and constructive logic of the pod: an upper thatched roof provides primary shelter and structural clarity, while a secondary outer layer of bamboo shingles wraps the volume, creating a lighter, more expressive envelope that responds to light, ventilation, and movement.
AB12 Studios collaborated on the visual communication of the project, developing a clear and structured representation through diagrams, axonometric studies, and animation. The aim was to articulate the design logic and assembly process, making the construction system accessible and easy to understand.
